The Cool, Fun and Easy-to-Use Face Paintoos Expands PlayMonster’s Offering in US

BELOIT, Wis. (January 28, 2019) — PlayMonster’s recent acquisition of Interplay in the UK has expanded its product lines and categories, and with that, Face Paintoos™ will make its debut in the U.S., and will do so during North American International Toy Fair in New York, February 16 – 19 at booth #435.

Recently launched in the UK, Face Paintoos is getting an exciting and positive reaction from retailers already. Bringing it to the U.S. will be a seamless expansion, much like My Fairy Garden was for PlayMonster a few years earlier.

Children love dressing up, role play and parties…and they love getting their face painted! But, face painting requires some artistic skill, and it’s easily messed up with one innocent itch or rub of the face. Face Paintoos is a face painting revolution because it allows for all of the fun of face painting without the hassle. Using a wet sponge, adults apply the designs easily and quickly, and the professional results are long-lasting and won’t smudge. The entirely safe tattoos are also easily removed when it’s time!

The Face Paintoos line launches with three popular design themes: Pets (mouse, Dalmatian, cat, puppy, rabbit), Wild (lion, dragon, leopard, monkey, tiger) and Magical (mermaid, dolphin, butterfly, fairy, unicorn). All three themes are also available in the larger party pack! Face Paintoos is fun for girls and boys, ages 4 and up. Look for it on U.S. shelves in Fall of 2019.

The Island of El Dorado, a Successful Kickstarter Brand, Becomes Part of PlayMonster’s Line to Expand Offering in Growing Strategy Game Category

BELOIT, Wis. (January 28, 2019) — With the growth and popularity of the strategy game category, PlayMonster has taken steps to expand its offering for 2019 by licensing a successful Kickstarter game brand that features brilliant game play and stunning graphics and game pieces. The Island of El Dorado™ and the first expansion pack, The Island of Thieves™, will be shown during North American International Toy Fair in New York, February 16 – 19 at booth #435.

The Island of El Dorado, fully funded on Kickstarter within 20 hours, is an easy-to-learn strategy game that is fun and challenging for both novices and veterans. The game takes players back to the year 1589, and players become brave explorers in search of the island’s four mysterious shrines of untold power! The first to control all four of the island’s shrines wins the game.

The genius of The Island of El Dorado is that it combines the best of classic game styles to create a unique and interesting game: Euro (strategy with economic themes), 4X (exploring and expanding), civilization (building a city), war (battles) and race (be the first to find or finish something).

During the game, players roll dice to see how many moves they will make and how many resources they will gather. They then use those moves and resources to explore and build their village so they are ready for battle when they come up against a foe! Players can explore existing area of the map, or lay down new ones. When they find a shrine, they must give an offering and then race to find the next so they may control all four and win!

The Island of Thieves is an expansion pack that can only be played with The Island of El Dorado, and it amplifies game play by adding more characters and players and adding levels to game play. The Island of Thieves followed its parent game on Kickstarter shortly after backers received The Island of El Dorado, and players loved it so much that The Island of Thieves was fully funded in 45 minutes.

The Island of El Dorado joins PlayMonster’s Stratego brand to grow their strategy games category.

The Island of El Dorado allows for 2 to 4 players, and The Island of Thieves expansion pack takes the game to new levels, offering the ability for a single player, or expanding to up to 8 players or teams. Perfect for ages 14 to adult, The Island of El Dorado will arrive on shelves in early Spring 2019, with The Island of Thieves following soon after.

Ultimate Series Allows Kids and Collectors to Create Up to Eight Different Large Vehicles with One Set

BELOIT, Wis. (February 6,2019) —PlayMonster’s Automoblox®, an award-winning line of high-quality collectible toy vehicles that innovate the classic wooden toy vehicle category, is seeing some new looks and fresh ideas! The Ultimate Series is a redesign of the large vehicle line, so it now offers more pieces for more play and creativity, as well as more distinct vehicle styles! The new sets will be revealed during North American International Toy Fair in New York, February 16 – 19 at booth #435.

The Automoblox Ultimates Series features four unique sets that include 23 mix-and-match components. With these pieces, kids can create one vehicle at a time, and up to eight different looks! Chaser Racer includes parts to build a police cruiser, race car, and everything in-between; Mondo Brawler is all about awesome trucks; Fierce Mayhem features slick, sporty cars; and Midnight Mamba flaunts a rich black color on its super cool vehicles! If a collector has multiple Ultimates, they can be mixed and matched with one another to create even more vehicles!

Vehicles sport a body made of European beech wood, and include multiple interchangeable components, including tires and wheels. The Popular Party Game 5 Second Rule Goes Insane with More Seconds and More Game Play!

BELOIT, Wis. (January 28, 2019) — Just Spit it Out…More!™ 5 Second Rule® has been a hot party game in the PlayMonster line for nearly 10 years, growing even more popular in recent years with its appearance on the Ellen Degeneres show, being played by celebrities! And now 5 Second Rule has a new, intense addition to its line of Junior and Uncensored versions, with Spintensity™ adding more time and a new spinner that shakes things up! The new game will be revealed during North American International Toy Fair in New York, February 16 – 19 at booth #435.

5 Second Rule is simple—name three things in five seconds—and hilarity comes to play when people get tongue-tied and freeze or give crazy answers under pressure! 5 Second Rule Spintensity keeps this basic game play and adds to it! The all-new timer is now random—maybe it’ll stop after 30 seconds, or maybe 45…you never know. And once you have named three answers in five seconds, you have to hurry and spin the spinner. The almighty spinner will then have you do one of three things: Name two more answers to that same card, draw a new card and name three new answers, or pass to the next player. You have to stay on your toes and hurry so you can win cards and not lose out if the timer stops during your turn! 5 Second Rule Spintensity is a “spintense” game for three or more players, ages 14 to adult, and lands on shelves in Fall 2019.
