Stratego Single Player, based on the classic strategic board game, is now live in app stores
BELOIT, Wis. – Mar 30, 2015 – Patch is excited to announce its popular board game Stratego is now available in app form! The Dutch game studio Youdagames has created the new game Stratego Single Player, in cooperation with Dutch Royal Jumbo.
Stratego is all about tactics, strategy and bluffing. Over 50 million copies of this classic board game have been sold worldwide. This new single-player version of Stratego allows you to play on your own, and can be set to easy, normal or hard mode to match your tactical skills. You can play as many battles as you like, and keep track of your performance in the overall statistics. Defeat the enemy in a “classic” 40 versus 40 battle, a “quick” 16 versus 16 battle, or play a full campaign.
“Stratego is a fantastic, strong brand, played by millions of people worldwide; something we can indeed be proud of at Jumbo. Cooperation with Youdagames has been excellent and we’re more than pleased with the end result delivered. Stratego’s Single Player App has become the perfect addition to the beautiful Stratego portfolio,” said Arend Smit, Managing Director of Royal Jumbo.
“This version of Stratego is tailored to the way mobile players are used to playing on their devices. Short sessions and the possibility to play whenever you want are important to players. With this in mind we have made a great game that appeals to young and old alike. Just like the physical board game does,” says Jur van Teunenbroek, producer of Stratego at Youdagames.
Key Features • Unlimited Stratego battles: Play as many battles as you like with different enemy setups and strategies. • Play offline Stratego anytime and anywhere, no internet connection required! • Classic (40 vs. 40), Campaign and Quick Battles (16 vs. 16) • New unit rank design • Easy, Normal & Hard modes • Customizable setups
Stratego Single Player is a premium game that can be bought for $1.99 in the Google Play Store and $2.99 in the AppStore.
When Youdagames was founded in 2006, the studio initially focused on strategy game classics such as Final Fortress and Rail of War, before creating its award-winning card game hits Governor of Poker and Governor of Poker 2. Youdagames recently released Governor of Poker 3. The company prides itself on four principles: quality, consistency, clarity and availability. Every game contains high-quality graphics, technology, and gameplay. Players always know what to expect, and all of the games fit together nicely – focusing on a similar style of play.
